Playful Paws offers private, group, and assistance dog training programs in a flexible, community-focused environment. We already work with many clients who have disability, neurodivergence, or additional support needs.

Mobility & Access
Entry and Movement
- Ramp access is available to the main training area.
- The entry system includes a doorbell and camera for assisted entry.
- Some areas may have uneven surfaces typical of a working training environment.

- Parking is available near the entrance for ease of access.
- If you have mobility requirements, please let us know when booking so we can support your arrival.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at Playful Paws. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can prepare appropriately.
Communication & Support
We understand that communication needs vary from person to person.
We can offer:
- Clear, step-by-step instructions for sessions
- Written information about training programs
- Flexible communication methods (phone, email, text)
If you require extra support, please let us know before your appointment so we can prepare.
Sensory & Social Environment
Some training environments may include:

Assistance Dog Training Clients
Clients participating in assistance dog training can expect:
- Structured, step-by-step training plans

- Individualised progression based on dog and handler needs
We are happy to discuss timelines, expectations, and support needs before starting training.
Social Story – What to Expect When You Arrive
- When you arrive, park near the entrance if possible.
- Walk to the front door and press the doorbell.
- A team member will respond through the camera system and assist you.
- You and your dog will be welcomed into the training area.
- Your trainer will meet you and begin the session.
- After your session, you can ask questions or arrange follow-up support.
